Machine Operator

Chillicothe, MO

Pay Rate: $20.35

Shifts available: Day 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or Night 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

$2.00 Night shift premium

$2,000 Retention Bonus and competitive benefit package

While reporting to the Supervisor, as a Skilled Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating all manufacturing equipment. Safety, quality, productivity and strong work ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Responsible for the proper operation of the extrusion/thermoforming line.
• Must demonstrate working knowledge of plant processing equipment and have an aptitude for problem solving.
• Must be able to properly set-up, startup, operate and shutdown all production equipment.
• Will troubleshoot and correct processing problems.
• Record and share information with other team members to maintain quality and machine efficiencies.
• Performs quality audits.
• Relieve inspector/packers.
• Coordinate line requirements with other departments (Maintenance, Material Handling, and QA).
• Must be proficient on all paperwork
• Other duties as requested by Supervisor

• You have experience as a skilled manufacturing operator
• 2 years of machine operator experience
• 2 years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to read, write, and perform math skills
• Understanding of manufacturing and quality control
